200 HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This training is led by Yoga Palm Beach University Founder, Karen Burnett ERYT500. Karen has been leading yoga teacher training programs and certifying fitness professionals for over 10 years. Along with Karen’s contagious passion for teaching and the structure and support systems provided in the training, these qualities ensure that you will deepen and refine your skills and knowledge of yoga while empowering you to expand your contribution in the yoga community. You will learn more about yourself, become abundantly more clear about your purpose as a yoga practitioner and teacher, and get connected in lifelong relationships with others who share your passion and values on the yoga path.

Teaching yoga is an extension of practicing yoga. Whether you’re just stepping onto the teaching path or have spent many years there maturing into a mentor teacher, as you practice you discover again and again the essence of yoga as a tool for self-transformation and a better life.
WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?
This 200 hour teacher training program is designed for anyone with a dedicated yoga practice who is interested in deepening and refining their personal practice, for anyone interested in teaching yoga, and is open to teachers from all yogic backgrounds.
The youngest student over the years was 16, the eldest 65. Students locally and from all over the state attend. It is for those who are entirely serious about learning all they can about yoga, for those who are open to expanding not just their knowledge of yoga theory and practice, but to learning more about themselves and opening to the most profoundly transformational experiences that yoga offers us.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE 200-HOUR TEACHER TRAINING

Each weekend of the training is structured around a yogic theme for the weekend and a family of poses. One teacher, or sometimes a pair of teachers, will lead the weekend’s training. Each weekend will encompass:
- Daily asana practice, including meditation and pranayama
- Analysis of poses and sequencing
- In depth study of the anatomy and bio-mechanics within each family of poses
- Philosophy topics include ancient teachings from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Upanishads, and apply these principles to modern life
- Subtle body exploration including the Chakras, Prana Vayus, Koshas and Nadis

Our curriculum combines detailed alignment and intelligent sequencing with Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, and Raja Yoga theory, and provides you with broad substantive knowledge and skills to teach and practice safer and more effective yoga classes.

300 HOUR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
Karen Burnett’s 300HR YTT is designed to help you learn more about all things yoga, improve your poses—and your experience of them—and leverage your unique skills, through in depth study and exposure to new techniques. Your applied understanding of the biomechanical alignment of yoga postures will grow exponentially, as will your existing knowledge base. Karen and the lead senior teachers in this program hold themselves to the highest standards of yoga educators and do not produce ordinary yoga instructors.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE 300-HOUR TEACHER TRAINING

This training consists of modules held on the weekends. In between modules we utilize online classrooms to apply and integrate learning. Expect weekend hours to be similar to 12:00pm – 8:00pm; however the exact schedule during weekends will be flexible and specific hours will be tailored to the teacher’s assessment of group needs. Complete participation is strongly recommended. However, life events and circumstances sometimes take priority, and we are as flexible and reasonable as we can be with our students. Makeup options are available.
